Family // Fall Leaves in Walnut Creek Park

This session was full of giggles, good energy and gorgeous light. This mama is radiating and her baby boy is just so precious. The girls were so sweet and so lovely to photograph. This location in Walnut Creek really impressed me this year. There were a lot of trees changing at the same time and there were so many leaves on the ground. I love fall sessions so much, I shoot well into November and December when many photographers shut down for the season to edit. The leaves really start to change color late in the season and then it’s full on winter. Lots of rain right now! Green hills coming so soon.

Kids Lifestyle // Halloween Pajamas

I just love fall. Give me all the pumpkins, the falling leaves, the colors, Halloween, cute Hanna Andersson pajamas with moons and bats on them, why yes!!! Usually I’m traveling, dashing around California chasing the leaves. It’s still the busiest time of the year for me though, as I race to finish shooting underwater for the season, scouting for new fall locations, and photographing lots of family lifestyle sessions for holiday images

My son started preschool this year and with Covid-19, I’ve been a lot more grounded lately, as we all have, so I’ve been sticking close to home. In this case, my backyard! I wanted to do a kid’s pajama shoot in my backyard and really show the space. It’s been almost a year since expanded our backyard. We purchased the lot behind our house last Dec and since March, my husband and I removed hundreds, but I seriously think thousands of square feet of blackberry bushes and had 5 hauls of concrete, dead brush and garbage. We cleared the creek and I absolutely can not wait to have fences up soon, so I have some privacy with shooting.
