Rescue Outreach: Spirit at Horses Healing Hearts

I had the opportunity to meet with Melissa at Horses Healing Hearts recently and saw Spirit again. Spirit/Lichtenstein (gelding) is almost 9 years old and is the Great Great Grandson of Secretariat. If anyone has seen that movie knows exactly what I'm talking about. Tears...for being so good. He was found emaciated in a pasture in Castro Valley on December 31st, 2011.

That's when Horses Healing Hearts took him in. He has such a charming personality. After years of love and care, Spirit is ready for his forever home. He would do best with an experienced rider. He has some limitations and can be walked and trotted. He can canter, however he needs to build up muscle in the hind leg. He can be ridden English or Western. He is 16.2 hands and an off-the-track Thoroughbred. Adventures with Simone and her Scottie pup

Charlotte, a sweet little Scottie puppy is new to her family and her surroundings. She is always eager to explore new areas with her best friend Simone.

Upon researching the history of Scotties, I discovered from Wikipedia that Scottish terriers were originally bred to hunt and kill vermin in the Highlands of Scotland. --- First written records dates from 1436.

With that inspiration in mind, we ventured down to the shores loaded with a treasure map. Charlotte and Simone found a chest and a swing. What an adventure! This blooming bond was sooo cute to document.

Engagement // Lauren+Adam // Lake Tahoe

I had a lovely time chasing the light with these two in Sand Harbor in Lake Tahoe. Adam and Lauren are an adorable couple. I've known Adam for a long time and I'm so happy to see him so in love. This shoot makes me want to go back and wish I had taken my own engagement photos in the snow. ;) Super cute L+A!
